She's one of the prettiest stars on the planet and it seems like the
whole world can't get enough of her right now so it's interesting to
discover The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone got into acting to help overcome panic attacks.
Chatting to Vogue magazine Emma revealed she first started experiencing the attacks when she was very young.
"I had a panic attack when I was eight. My mum couldn't put notes in
my lunch because I would be reminded that she existed and I would want
to go home. And I was sick all the time."
Instead of letting her problem envelope her the blonde star soon found acting was a big help.
''When I went through therapy, I tried improv for the first time, and I think there was some cathartic element to it.''
Stone told Bliss mag that she found comfort in just thinking about how much she had enjoyed being on stage.
"It hit me really hard. It freaked me out and I couldn't leave my
mum's side, but then I remembered how good it felt to be on stage. 'I
met other people like me, who liked the same things I liked. It became
this place where I could be myself and express myself. 'It gave me a
sense of purpose. I wanted to make people laugh. Comedy was my sport. It
taught me how to roll with the punches.''
Emma isn't the only famous type to have suffered from this
potentially debilitating illness. Nicole Kidman reportedly used to
struggle when she had to walk the red carpet. Her then hubby Tom Cruise had to repeatedly tell her things were fine while Corrie's Helen Flanagan (Rosie Webster) recently admitted to suffering from attacks whilst filming the hit soap.
